Hi there :)

I'm testing out the vector aspect of the game, and made a background, a char and an NPC..
I set the game to fullscreen (i find windowed to be a bit annoying when playing), but when i start the game about 3/4 of the screen is black flickering..

It's like a black bar jumping up and down from the bottom of the screen.

Have any of you had this problem and if so, what can be done to hinder it?

I tried to search but couldnt find any answers.

Thank you for your time :)

Yeah, I run into all sorts of problems when I try to run full-screen mode. I've noticed that collision detection also changed when in full screen mode, and occasionally there are very weird and random speed issues. Windowed mode is always more stable, I find.

So basicly i have to play the games i make in windowed mode?
Or is there a way around it? (If i actually commits a good amount of time into a game)

The reason i'm asking is that the windowed mode makes it so relatively small that many details will be less noticable on the drawn backgrounds..

Or is it possible to make the window larger in windowed mode?

Thanks for your reply :)

i have the same problem i found out to fix it i have to right click on desktop go to properties and then settings
then click on advanced then another window will pop up go to troubleshoot and turn down your hardware acceleration to none and that will fix your problem but remember when you go to do anything else like other games or watch any video you want to turn it back up ok that will fix your problem

and just remember just enjoy the game haha

or you could change your game's resulution to something bigger....

If i were you, i would definitely take aurum34's advice since he has been here for ages whereas DnC Games is relatively new.

I already changed resoloution to max, but it still doesnt fit the screen.
Surely it's better than the small window, but i just wanted to ask if there was a windowed mode that fit the screen size

No. You can create a custom screen resolution but that will never match the full screen size of every computer you deal with. Fullscreen mode is a fun mode that actually changes the active resolution of the screen and runs without a window. But because of how it's programmed the hardware acceleration gets in the way causing the unslightly flicker.

You either have to deal with a window or ask your users to turn down their hardware acceleration....assuming their graphics card allows it that is.

A windowed mode will do for TK games. Unless your game is actually HD or has very good visual quality it will only become an annoyance if it's in fullscreen mode.
